The Opportunity.
As our business continues to grow, we are looking for a talented and experienced Senior - Ruby on Rails Engineer to join our team and take our product to the next level. The Engineer will be responsible for managing an engineering squad for day to day development work.
Your day to day.
Utilize your extensive Ruby on Rails knowledge to design, develop, test, and deploy web applications
Troubleshoot complex technical issues and provide innovative solutions
Responsible for keeping your squad’s technical documentation up-to-date
Who you are.
A minimum of 5 years of hands-on experience in Ruby on Rails development including high and low level design
Desire to work at a start-up pace with a high degree of ownership.
Experience in Test-Driven Development (TDD) with RSpec
Experience with containers/Docker, and with cloud infrastructure like AWS (Good to have)
Hands-on experience in REST API implementation and versioning APIs. Strong
knowledge of GitOps; Ability to use version control systems; Bitbucket preferred
Strong Experience with Kafka. Good to have experience on Elasticsearch
Experience building micro-services and consuming data from 3rd party APIs and building large-scale distributed platforms
Have used design patterns, SOLID, KISS, YAGNI principles, 12 factor app etc.
